Canadians- buy an RV in the US and leave it there ?

I would like to buy a trailer in the US and NOT bring it back to Canada. I plan on storing it there in the summer and using it each winter. I'd like to know about paying sales tax, what about register...

Slightly off topic but since my 5er is a toy hauler: the Cdn Tire inspection will also check to make sure your imported motorcycle brake light meets CDN standards and that the license plate holder is in the centre of the rear fender and properly lit.
