Cape Cod
No, really.
If you have a properly equipped vehicle you can get a weekly or seasonal pass ($$$) to drive on designated areas of the beach in the National Seashore. And if you have a single-unit Self Contained Vehicle (SCV) with permanently mounted holding tanks there's a designated camping area on the beach. Beware - there's a short orientation to go through and there are pictures of RV's awash in the surf. Not that they should have been in the tide zone to begin with.
We got a weekly pass and took the F150 on the beach. It was a pretty novel experience. Pick a spot, park, and set up your beach gear and cooler. The TPMS didn't like dropping the tires to 12PSI for beach driving though.
