Caprock Canyons & lake arrowhead state parks in texas

Looking for thoughts about both state parks. Easy access, if you've stayed, there, etc. Traveling through texas in May with class a 33 ft MH and 2 medium size dogs. Any other camping suggestion welco...

Thanks for the tip about the texas pass but we will only be staying a couple/3 nights in texas on our way through.
