Hi,I was checking the .next 2 months of weather predictions from Ocala to Sarasota, and then). to Jupiter. The forecasters have been forecasting a wet and very cool winter for central Florida. So if you are in this area, what kind of weather have you been having and what's the local weatherman predicting for winter. I can't wait to join you and I am hoping that it will be warm.

Two months, heck seven days is pushing it on a forecast. Historically if you want consistent warm weather you need to be south of Orlando. Most cold fronts stall around Orlando which will be wetter than further south. Compared to MO the colder weather north of Orlando may not bother you and the CG prices are better. Actually it could be a little cooler as I've had to run the AC some afternoons as it can get close to 80 here in WPB. I know, I should not complain as Mother Nature has a way of making you eat your words.

I was raised in Michigan. It cracks me up when people says it's too cold in Central and North Florida. I have never shoveled snow in Florida in 45 years. We spent time in Juno beach and the Keys in Jan/Feb a few years ago and it was too hot for my blood. I don't want to run AC in the winter.

Right now it is 73deg in Tampa. The temps were up around the mid 80's yesterday and today. Most winters, the temps are in the low to mid 70's with the occasional dip into the 40's a couple of times a year.This is our 11th year of snowbirding in the Tampa/central Florida area and we have found that most to the time the temps and humidity are very comfortable. We usually stay until early April.Barney

Either line must be close as there are sure a lot of snowbirds below there. :)

We're from Tampa and the winters can be unpredictable. We're either in shorts or sweats on Christmas....it's about 50/50. We've been running the ac the past week, but a cold front is coming, bringing the highs to a predicted 52 degrees (burrrr) on Thursday. If you want warm, head to the Florida Keys. The record cold in Key West is 47 degrees, I believe.

I've been in Williston, Fl (middle of horse country west of Ocala) for the last three winters. The coldest it has gotten is about 30 for TWO days. It immediately went back to the 60's and 70's later in the week. This week started in high 50's and ended the week in 80's. We are always about 5 degrees less than Tampa. For the Fort Myers to Naples area, the Weather Underground reports that this coming Thursday will be "cool" (69°)and Friday will be "pleasant" (75°). The five days before and the three days after will be in the low to mid 80's. It's all relative.

Have to agree 100%. Sure you get a few cool days but nothing like up North. It's 72 in Zephyrhills right now (7:30AM) and we're looking toward a high of 85. Works for me. :B
