- neschultzExplorerWe were there April 8th for a few days and took the bus to see the cherry blossoms. It is a beautiful park. Really nice for walking and dog runs. There is major construction going on in the whole field on the right after the office to the first stop sign. Includes the spray park, bath house, group area, and parking and the 1st 6 sites starting at 701. We were in site 610 and dirt movers, etc started before 7 each morning. We were awake and it wasn't a problem for us but you should be aware.
- Mike__RoseExplorerWe were at a site in the back section 40 to 80 numbered. Walking trail was right behind us. We liked that section because we travel with two dogs. Less congested, but it is a hike to the bus stop.
- D___MExplorerIf you intent to leave the F-450 parked and to ride the bus over to the Metro stop, grab a pull through in the 400-500 section. They are closest to the bus stop. After schlepping around DC all day, you don't want to hike to a spot in the back.
- Itching2goExplorer IIWe were at Cherry Hill for four nights in 2012, and were located in site 1012. We liked it as we prefer shaded sites. Back-in, but easy to get into. Also a short walk to the store and bus stop for our trips into the city. A bit pricey, but a great place to base out of for trips into DC via the bus/Metro.
- DHDBExplorerWe just returned yesterday from Cherry Hill. We had site 332. Site was within view of the bus stop. We had a nice big grassy area on the curbside. The site behind us was very close though. I thought it was a good spot. Utility post is at the front of the site. Bring an extention cord for your power and an extra water hose. As another poster stated, construction was going on. It didn't bother us at all. The highway is pretty close to everyone, you will hear that constantly. Again, it wasn't a problem for us.
- twotoesExplorerI stayed there the week before and including Memorial Day weekend last year 2013. The park is very nice. I was way in the back in the 80s sites. The freeway is just behind the hiking trail and I could hear some noise. I have a 42 foot toy hauler. The original space was long enough but the dumpster was right in front of my space and blocked me from pulling forward to back in. They moved me to the next spot and I had no problem. Make sure you don't get a spot behind the dumpster.
