- garysolExplorerSorry to hear that the rowdiness has not improved at all. We have not been out there this year but we do have reservations there in a few weeks. Maybe we need to rethink it.
- ohiocamperkellyExplorer@garysol, I agree the quality of Roundup Lake Park in Mantua is improving Facility wise since it was foreclosed on . But on the other hand the quality of campers has never been worst. The park is no longer family friendly and caters to "The Party Crowd". Management is aware of the all night parties and noise, but refuses to do anything about it ( and often is involved). Management is just there to improve the park infrastructure to raise the value of the park for a future sale and cares nothing for families. Management telling families "Go inside your camper to block out the noise" is not an acceptable answer. Our last stay out there the music and parties didn't stop until 4am. Seasonal campers have control of the park and tell management how to run it, the way they want it run. Rules do not apply to them. and management turns a blind eye when certain seasonals are involved. The days of spending a quite and safe night at Roundup Lake Park are over.
- garysolExplorerWe have camped at Roundup Lake Rv Resort in Mantua Ohio and really like it. They had a few really bad years when they were owned by Morgan RV Resorts but in the past 2 years the place has improved greatly. Sites are large with lots of mature trees. There is a heated pool and a swimming lake that is quite large and offers excellent fishing. For the small kids there is arts and crafts and outdoor movies.
- 6_7_tow_rigExplorerPunderson State Park is my favorite in that area.
- michigansandzilExplorerWe stayed at Streetsboro KOA. It's about a 30 minute expressway drive from Cleveland. Our site was actually decent sized. They have a fenced dog run, couple of fishing ponds and were installing a pool as we left over Memorial weekend. It's close to the e-way and the surrounding area is actually quite nice.
We stayed at the KOA to visit Cuyahoga Valley National Park and took a side trip to Cleveland. Kids had a great time. We went to tour the USS Cod and ended up finding and touring the William G Mather freighter as well. It's right next to the Great Lakes Science Center, which was another hit for the kids.
Have fun.
