Coeur d'alan, Idaho

We are planning a trip to coeur d'alan in August or October. We will be driving up from Sacramento to Spokane then to Idaho. I am asking for help with routing as well as stops along the way, we try to limit our driving to 300 miles or so and spend a couple of night to explore and relax. I would also like suggestions on RV parks in the area of the lake or within a reasonable driving distance to the lake. Finally, any suggestions on must see and/or do. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
PS, we camp in a 33' fifth wheel.

  • Since you have a dog, and one that probably likes the water as much as our 4 Border Collies, I would reserve a spot at Blackwell Island RV Park in Coeur D'Alene. It is well located, clean, and is on the River, plus has a section of the beach for dogs!
  • Coeur d'Alene: a great place to visit. You might want to try Silverwood for water slides and roller coasters. It's north of Coeur d'Alene.
