Croton Point Campground

Last minute decision to go to NYC next week.

Would like to stay at Croton Point Campground.

Will I have a problem getting in there at this time?

Can reservations be made?

Thanks

Nick
  • I grew up near there and actually stayed there in a PU about ten years ago. The sites are basically in a grass field with few trees. Be careful of skunks. Our dog almost got sprayed in the middle of the night by a skunk that was hanging out in our site! Much of Croton Point used to be a landfill, but was closed and capped a few years back. I don't think that affects your stay, but may be why there were skunks!
  • We've stayed there and it can get busy. They do take reservations. Best to give them a call at the park - 914-862-5290. Real country setting. A bit pricey at $50 daily or $240 weekly. There's a train station if you want to go into NYC - very convenient.
