The sites on the north side that front the water (not directly but across the path etc.) are nice for views of the inlet and part of the bay but are hard to get.
If you want to walk to the beach, you may want a site on the south side, closest to the bridge.
In June we had a site on the southeastern outside perimeter, and it was nice because we did not feel as cramped as sites in the middle. We were across from tenters instead of other RVs, and the marshland/bay is right behind the tent sites. It was still an easy walk to the beach. It's also right near the playground, if you have young children.
If you stay in the western portion of the CG, it can be quite a walk to the beach on the other side of Route 1.
