If you are on the south side and want to go to the beach on the north side, you can cross over the dedicated bike/ped path on the east side of the cable stayed bridge. The views from up there are awesome.
One issue with the south CG is that the roads are very old and have lots of dips and potholes. And when you get decent rain storm events, some of the roads (and sites) are under up to a foot of water. I would imagine the roads in the north CG are all brand new, and I'm not sure if they have any flooding issues there.
The cottages available for rent are also on the north side. They are VERY expensive.
