Cummins, they are not much different than ones in the states. There are good ones and bad ones. That is why a personal reference is a good idea. I also checked out the dentist even after I had a reference. For what it is worth, the dentist I use in Progresso has more modern equipment than my former stateside dentist. His workspace is spotless. I haven't had dentures, but I have had extractions, root canals, and bridges and have had no problems. For those without dental insurance, this is a viable option.
Agree Same here, have been going to the dentist in Mexico for many years. - TenOCNomadThe dentist office I went to in Mexico was more modern and up-to-date than any I have ever went to in the USA. The dentist was a young lady that had been in practice about 4 years. I felt as "safe" as with any dentist I have ever went to in the USA.
Question, how do one know a "good" dentist from a "bad" dentist until a few years later when you start having problems? . . . :h . . Is the problem because of your dentist or your bad eating problem????? - JAXFLExplorer

There is one around the corner from my house in Florida and I would not go to him if I was bleeding at a rate of 1 gallon a minute. Then down the street we had one arrested for child abuse and another for practicing without a license... I think Thailand is a good choice over some in the states. - jrs1871ExplorerCummins, they are not much different than ones in the states. There are good ones and bad ones. - Cummins12V98Explorer IIIYour mouth, no way would I trust my health to save a buck! I have built well over 100 dental clinics in my career and know what goes into making these a very safe place for your oral health.
I have seen the results of South of the Boarder Dental gone wrong.
How many of you have gone back to the Sterilization room in one of these Clinics? - pawattExplorerAlso Dr. Edwardo Flores at Apple Dental. The dental Plaza to the east right after you cross the bridge. Picture of apple on sign. We have used him for years. USA phone # for appointments is 956-246-4100.
- daily_doubleExplorerNot dentures but everything else (implants, porcelain crowns, fillings) at Dr Mustre. !/2 block from the bridge on left. He's been there for 30 years.
- VoodooMedicineMExplorerI have, can't remember his name.
Google Progresso MX dentists and you will get many to choose from. - TubaPeteExplorerHaven't been to Progresso but lots of people get dental work in Algodones and are very satisfied. I assume Progresso is the same. You're on the right track though, I would start with personal references.
