- sch911ExplorerIf you don't need full hookups than Henderson Beach State Park is the best, if looking for full hookups and a resort atmosphere try Topsail Hill State Park.

I would add Grayton Bch SP (Walton Bch area) also which has one loop that is FHU. - C20ExplorerCamp gulf in Destin is real nice. We stayed there and they have sites right on the beach if you want.
- belairbrianExplorerAll of the mentioned parks are nice. The right one for you will be based on what activities you want.
Henderson is downtown Destin. In the summer that means lots of traffic and lots of kids. Walmart is across the street as is Fudpuckers. Bumper boats, water park are a few blocks away.
Topsail is actually in San Destin. More of the golf and outlet crowd. Quieter area but a long walk to the beach. Bikes are highly recommended there.
Grayton gets you farther out from Destin than topsail Hill. A bit of a drive from Fort Walton Beach.
There are also two military RV parks in the area. One in Destin. One in Niceville. Both are on the Bay not the gulf. - CamsmomExplorerJust back from that area. Stayed in topsail hill and loved it. Sites were spaced out well and fairly private. It has its own beach area about a half mile from camping area. You can't drive yourself but there is a shuttle. Most people seem to have bikes with little trailers with their beach stuff. Because you can't drive, the beach is fairly quiet, and just gorgeous. Soft white sand. We loved it.
- wbwoodExplorerAnother vote for Topsail Hill! We will return!

we are considering topsail. what site number were you? just curious. I am going to check out a sitemap etc.
Is the road level when people bike to the beach? for ease of it?
little info helps me alot. thanks - wbwoodExplorerThe pathway is pretty flat. Maybe a slight incline in a part of it, but our daughter was just learning to ride a bike and had no issue with it. You can walk it also. Doesn't take long. Maybe 15-20 minutes.
The best sites and newer section are the 100 sites. We were in site 41. It was ok. - HappyCamper89ExplorerThis should help when choosing a site at Topsail:

Henderson Beach State Park is also a great choice:

Both have the most beautiful beaches you will ever see. Topsail has more of a "resort" feel, while Henderson is closer to the beach. - DixiechickExplorerWe always stay at CampGulf when staying in the area. It is the only campground directly on the beach and that is the reason we go...to be on the beach!
