When are you planning on going? As others have said Henderson beach and Graytin Beach are nice state park campgrounds. Be advised that the state park there stay full a lot so making reservations well ahead of time are a must. You can make them 11 months ahead but if they are full for the time you are wanting keep checking there is always cancellations.

Alabama beaches do allow pets in most areas.

We are volunteering at Henderson Beach State Park currently. They are dog friendly, but the dogs are not allowed on ANY beach in Destin, unless they are a service dog. Rocky Bayou in Niceville is the sister park to Henderson, that is not on the beach. If you are a visitor at either you can go to the other at no charge. There is a wonderful dog park in Destin. There is a beach dogs are permitted - Bayview Dog Beach in Pensacola. Sometimes the park is very booked, so I would check availability as soon as you know where you want to go.

They're all good in the Pan Handle. If you get a state park on the beach ... like Port St Joe or St. Andrews, pets are welcome, but not on the beaches. You'll need to find other areas if you want to take your dog on the beach. Inland State Parks don't have that problem of course.

And if you decide to stay at Florida Caverns State Park (which I highly recommend), if it rains in Georgia, you'll get flooded out in the park 1 week later! Don't ask how I know.
