All loops are pretty much equal. Like posted above you can request, but that does not mean you will get what you asked for, which is why I think they try so hard to make all of them equal. In the middle is nice because you are within walking distance of the main store and the Chip-n-Dale campfire and movie. Also make sure you go to the docks to see the electric light parade. If you time it right you can be on a boat headed toward Magic Kingdom when the fireworks are going off. The same experience people pay big money for by renting a private boat for the event. Also try to go to the Backyard Bar-B-Q. It is behind Crocketts tavern. If you have kids, or are a kid at heart it is really worth the effort. If they tell you they are full, talk to the concierge, they always have some hold back tickets. We were told they were full and spoke with the concierge and get in. There were several empty picnic tables. They way it was explained to me is that the automatic reservations system and even the reservation cast members are only allowed to sell out an event to a certain level, and there are always some holdbacks for concierges to use for guests. We rented a cart from an off property company for half the cost and had a blast. They delivered the cart to the CG and it was waiting on us in the corral with the rest of them. It was nice to just go "looping" in the evening. Also even though the buses are handy you are on their time, so having a cart lets yo be on your schedule.
