Disney Fort Wilderness cg loop advice

We are thinking about camping at Fort Wilderness for four nights. We would like to stay in a standard full hook up site. Don't want to rent a golf cart and won't have bikes with us. Are there loops that we can stay in that only require a five minute or less walk to the catch the bus? No kids, no pets.

All the RV sites are full hookup... if I remember correctly, there is one or two tent loops that aren't full hookup. All sites are at a minimum really good.

All loops are within an easy walk of a bus stop.

We stayed in the middle of the campground (forget which loop) - turned out to be great, as we were within walking distance of the camp store... which is in the middle of the campground, not at the docks. The store at the docks is basically a souvenir store.

A golf cart is not needed - but, it is fun to do "looping", just cruising around the campground checking things out. There is plenty to do at the campground itself, we spent one day with a rental cart and stayed in the campground doing things. The horse drawn carriage ride at night was much better than I had expected!

Definitely see the Hoop De Do Review.
  • Disboards.com is everything Disney. Scroll down for Camping at Disney World.
  • X2 on the help on Fort Fiends best help you can get.
  • They have buses inside the park that stop just outside of all loops.
  • Plenty of bus stops. Check out Fort Fiends web site for a World of information. You can take a bus to any of the parks or take a bus over to the marina and enjoy a leisure ride to the Magic Kingdom. Beautiful evening ride.

If you are interested check out the Hoop De Do Revue. Make reservations for that place as far in advance as possible. Great show and excellent food.

If either of you have difficulty walking distances rent one of their electric carts at the entrance of each park. Well worth the money to be able to enjoy a long day.

You will probably wish you booked a much longer stay.
  • I stayed there a few years ago I think they are all within 5 minutes of the bus. Nice places but really nothing that is away from anything. It's all very close.
