DisneyWorld's Fort Wilderness

There comes a time when you have to say "Enough is enough." Tried to make reservations for 5 nts and found the price would be $131/night for early March. For that price, they will not only lose my money per night but also the money I'd pay for tickets, food, and entertainment. Buh bye Disney; at those prices, I'm thinking I've been there enough. Camp on!

It's an expensive world after all...
  • My daughter is wanting to go next year for her birthday. We wen about 8 years ago last. We priced it and it was going to be around $3000/week for the 3 of us to include the dining plan. Could we do it cheaper? Yes, not a whole lot cheaper. but it would change the entire experience. And she wants to go in August. I think we will be over ruling her. lol

On the other hand for around the same money per night I could go to Cedar Point and get a nice size FHU pull through and get passes to both parks! And I can go back and forth because the park is walking distance from the campground!

More info on this campground please. We are going in June.

    Cedar Point

    Lighthouse Point - Sandusky Ohio

Be sure to get reservations early and ask about the "specials" which allow you to enter the park early and ride more rides, I believe we paid $85/night and the "Fast Lane Plus" was around $60......Dennis

Thanks Exec! even cheaper than I remembered.

    Here are a few pics.

  • We were there October a year ago and paid $89 a night. That was in the 400 loop.Still expensive but about $40 less than what you would be paying.Don't know if they went up that much in a year or if they charge more at different times of the year? It would probably be our last time there since the whole trip from Pa cost about $3,500 considering fuel, camping, park tickets, food etc.
  • Yes, I thought the Fort was overpriced. Not really much to do, and what there was cost extra! You get small sites, a handful of cable channels (mostly Disney related), and if you're at the Fort chances are you are not there all day because you're in the parks.

I was really disappointed when I was there!

  • I usually pay less than that to stay at the Pop or All Stars off season. WOW!
