If you can't get into Acadia, check out Lamoine State Park. Across the bay about 20 miles from the National Park. Dry camping, but bathrooms with showers. You can have lobsters (cooked or live) delivered to your site!
As to PA, my favorite state park is Ricketts Glen, not too far from I81. 22 waterfalls along a 5-7 mile trail in the park. Again dry camping with bathrooms with showers.
