Looking for a place to stay 5-6 nights around Eureka Springs, Ar. Online, the RV park at Beaver, Ar and Bull Shoals looks OK. Also looked at Starkey Park (COE) but those sites look pretty small.Has anyone been up that way and have suggestions?-pete

We stayed at the Berryville Arkansas city park just a few miles east of Eureka Springs. Pull thrus, full hookups including Cable TV! Not fancy and no trees but very reasonable rates and nice host. It was $18 per night the last time we stayed there. We have a 34' Class A with toad. There are several COE CG's around Beaver Lake that have electric hookups. We stayed at Beaver Dam River which had decent privacy between sites. Some decent sized rigs in there when we stayed there. They are all back in sites though.

Roaring River State Park is an interesting area altho we have never camped. It has a rainbow trout hatchery on site + some interesting geography.

Crater of Diamonds State Park is an interesting place also and Campground gets good reviews.

There are pictures in my link for Wanderlust. Hardly a gravel parking lot. LOL

all are nice places. I'll add Bull Shoals under the dam. Pretty spot with a fishing stream.

I see a lot of people like Wanderlust but there are more negative reviews for them then positive (I know people complain more than they complement). The overriding theme for the complaints were small, cramped sites, one even went to say that it was a gravel parking lot with hookups.

I guess I'm just wondering what the 'real' story is...

You will love Lake Catherine, we went there for the first time ever last fall. We also camped at Shady Oaks CG near Jasper & the Buffalo River...real nice area and kind of close to Eureka Springs.
