- WTP-GCExplorerI can't comment on any of the festivals except the Apple Festival in Ellijay, GA. It has turned into an over-crowded tourist trap. You know the kind...every little activity costs a few dollars for about 10 seconds of fun, lots of junk peddlers, trash littered field, tour buses, noisy generators, etc. The only reference to an "apple" is the name of the festival.
Not to say that it doesn't have some good qualities and neat booths. But I would most certainly not go out of my way to do it again.

you hit the festivals event site. gives dates/times etc for all festivals in the area. I use it all the time to find quick fun trips around us when we want a fast RV trip in the area and a bit of fun. - CampinghossExplorer IISeafood festival in Morehead City. I think it starts in a couple of weeks. We always camp at the Koa in Newbern and use it as our home base when we decide to go.
