Far enough away.
Have never boondocked but may try it this winter. I know that boondockers don't like others to camp too close. What is considered too close? Thanks Nick

That Wikiquote is incomplete- it's specific to a couple of foreign-language people-identifiers. Good example of the way things can get all carried away on Wikipedia, though!
"Boondocks" doesn't exist as an insult in the English language. Definition without the frosting.
That said:
As one who cheerfully admits to being "unsophisticated, ignorant, uncultured, illiterate, and naive", I prefer to be called a "ridgerunner". :B
