Favorite Michigan Campgrounds
Hi Everyone - Some of our favorite campgrounds in Michigan are Porcupine Mtns. SP, Rifle River Rec. Area SP, and Kingston Lake SF. What are yours?

- Have been to Harrisville State Park in the past and enjoyed it. Hadley recreation area too is nice but electric only hook up. Former Michigander here.

Lake Gogebic State Park
Copper Harbor State Park
JW Wells State Park
I haven't visited a state park I wouldn't visit again. There's some I don't understand the demographic they target, and so I've formed a bias against them and I'm not likely to visit.
I also don't know anything about private parks in Michigan. The last one I visited charged me $5 to visit some friends for dinner. Their park, their rules, but my money says I'm never going to visit again. I guess I'm too cynical or contrarian to see the benefit of private parks. Is putting up with pages of rules and paying triple what a State Park costs really worth having sewer and water onsite? - We have family in Escanaba. We always camp at O. B. Fuller county park. Sites right on the lake. Beautiful little park.
