As I see well intentioned and smart people squabble over minutia, I am reminded of the ancient parable about a group of blind men examining an elephant for the first time, each claiming their version as "absolute truth" (based on their personal subjective experiences).
You know the story, the man that touched the elephant's side, concluded the elephant is like a wall, the man that touched the tusk, said it is like a spear, the man that touched the trunk, said it was like a snake, and so forth. Each claiming their version as the "absolute truth", while ignoring the claims of the other blind men. So it is fists to cuffs and the blind men fight, ignoring claims of the others.
The moral of the parable is that humans have a tendency to claim "absolute truth" based on their limited, subjective experience and quick to ignore other people's experiences...which may also be equally true.
Is the blind man that said the elephant is like a spear correct? Or is the blind man that said the elephant like a snake correct? Who is wrong? Who is correct?
Which is the best RV? Let's see, we have Class A, B & C motorhomes, fifth wheels, single, dual and tri axle travel trailers, pop ups, and of course truck campers.
I say dual axle TT is the best RV, hence I bought one; my friend says TC is the best, hence he bought one. Who is right?
Is possible that those with opposing opinions (FoxNews vs CNN) are both true, since each person's "absolute truth" is based on different personal experiences? Sure--we don't live in a "binary world" where there is just hot/cold or black/white; there are different degrees of warm (my warm maybe equal to your hot) and we have infinite shades of gray (watch a B&W movie).
I say toe-mato, you say tah-maito...
