For long continuous trips, I've always relied on either the Trailer Life or Woodall's guides. The two have been replaced by the Good Sam guide.
I carried the printed guide even though I had the apps for both on my phone. The point of carrying the printed guides has been to have reliable, though not necessarily the most current, information on hand without needing a data connection.
Planning for a single destination, I'll use on-line resources, starting with RV park reviews, but also including state and Federal recreation resources on line, since my destinations are more often public parks.
