If you should have a heart attack or other medical emergency while RVing, think about doing it at the Casa del Valle RV Resort in Texas' Rio Grande Valley. The park hosts the First Responders Program, where retired doctors, nurses, and EMTs take refresher training on medical emergency response, and at least one is "on duty" to respond anytime, 24/7.

We have a similar program at Green Gate Grove on Bentsen Palm Drive near Mission.

Victoria Palms in Donna also has a 1st Responders program. The people in the program are not necessarily retired medical professionals. But everyone is trained to be 1st Responders.

We are also very fortunate to have AED's (automated external defibrillator's) which everyone is trained to use.

When we are on call it is for a 24 hour period. All done by volunteers.

I believe there are a number of parks in the RGV that have this program.

Yup, we have AED's (automated external defibrillator's) too. We also have a health committee that helps with other health related issues and education. And a lending equipment program that lends walkers, wheel chairs, canes and other medical equipment.

Ditto us to equipment to lend out.

Our park has a minute clinic right in the lobby with a on site ambulance.

My mom passed in 2004 from a heart attack while at an RV part in Southern California. It took six minutes for the first responders to arrive. It probably wouldn't have made a difference in the outcome, but programs like this are sorely needed.

We winter in Florida and our first responders are right outside the park in their rig waiting to take your site :)

We stayed at Trophy Gardens in Alamo for a number of winters, and they too have a First Responders program.

Add VIP LA FERIA TX to the list of parks with trained personnel and equipment to deal with the problems that may happen with in the park.

Winter Ranch in Alamo has that program
