Florida Weather

We have been at Fort Widerness for a week and Mother Nature has not been nice this year. Rain every day, not just summer showers, down pours. We can't do anything about the weather, but we would love to have saw the sun in the Sunshine State.

  • fear not!, we are leaving on Saturday to head down there for 11 days. We will bring the nicer weather with us......

    Happy camping!!!!!!!
  • Sorry to hear your getting dumped on. Living in Fl we know not to go to FW in the summer due to heat, rain and crowds. It's great in the winter months. Hopefully you'll get some dry weather long enough to enjoy yourselves.
  • pick up a poncho and hit the parks. I think the best time to go is when it is raining- no lines no waiting
  • We cancelled our "shakedown cruise" reservations at Long Key State Park due to the rain. I've measured over 10" in the last 3 days and its pouring as I type. But I look at it as this is way better than a hurricane .

Wait! We are from Florida and in Kentucky for the summer, and have seen way more than our share of rain here.
  • It is the rainy season, you know? I am waiting for just a little break to get my darn grass cut. It looks like a cow pasture. The forecast for the next few days is more and even more rain.
