AWESOME !!!!! - jparker66ExplorerThanks. We ended up camping at Inks Lake State Park and discovered Mother Neff's new sites (full hookups) has the Grand Opening on January 23rd, 2015.
- smokedummyExplorerI visited Ma Neff yesterday 12/28/14 to check out the new sites - they are not open yet. The old sites down by the river are still in use in the mean time.
- jparker66ExplorerDoes anyone have an update on good camping sites at Mother Neff? I understand several new sites have recently opened.
Thanks - PawPaw_n_GramExplorerMy experience has been that if you let the park know a bit before your arrival what size rig you have - the park will try to make sure smaller rigs don't take all the spots which will hold your rig.
I've been told more than once, that I can't use a specific spot because 'someone with a longer trailer is coming in a couple days'.
I've even seen a site marked as occupied when there was no rig in the spot - for the same reason. - ReVokerExplorer

You have the same trailer that I have and I've been to Fort Parker many times. Be very careful when turning at the end of the camping loop. There are a couple of trees that lean into the roadway that will bite you if you are not looking. Sites 13, 15, 16, 17 will hold your trailer as will site 3 and a couple of others. those will fit your rig without much problem. Unfortunately, no one is going to hold a site for you as TXPW is a first come, first served process. If you arrive on Tue, Wed or Thu you shouldn't have a problem getting one of these.
Texas will hold a site for you if you have a reservation but not a specific numbered site. - TrlrboyExplorerYou have the same trailer that I have and I've been to Fort Parker many times. - cgaskinsExplorerThanks for the updates. I called both parks today and they said about 30 days before I am to arrive they will try to "unofficially" hold me a spot for my rig.
The ranger at Mother Neff said everything was open except the prairie area which is where they are building the camping loop and HQ and that should be complete by the fall.
-Chris - PawPaw_n_GramExplorerVisited Mother Neff in late October - open and welcoming visitors/ campers.
The 6 utility sites in the loop by the bathhouse are all long enough to hold your rig on the pad. However, the loop itself is pretty tight. I had a 30 foot trailer at the time, on both the TV front tire and trailer rear tire were on the dirt while turning (opposite sides of the vehicle). The spot we parked in #4 had the entire trailer and TV - 52 ft long hooked up - on the pad with 15-20 feet to spare. 30 Amp only if my memory is correct. Bathhouse clean and nice.
You can get in if there are not several other vehicles in the loop or parked close to the front of the other pads.
The dump station loop is also tight.
The park office is 0.4 miles up Hwy 236 - and you will not be able to pull your trailer into that siding and get out without a lot of backing and filling.
We were there for an overnight stop on a trip from Corpus Christi to east of Dallas - only ones there other than a host couple. Had been raining a lot the previous week so everything was very wet. - Javi1ExplorerFt Parker has a couple of sites that can handle your rig but they're usually already taken far in advance, I'd call the office at the park direct before booking on line to be disappointed when you get there.
Mother Neff is under construction and I doubt they can handle anything right now, although you might give them a call direct as well. The fires and then the big flood hit them really hard.
As a note... Lake Fairfield SP has a couple of sites that can handle your rig but again they are usually taken... especially this time of year with full timers, snowbirds and workers parking long term.
