Franklin TN

Everyone has been of great help but I was notified today that the meetings that I was planning on attending have been canceled. Looks like I was given some good info on some nice camping spots that I just might have to check out anyway. Thanks again.

Also, easy in and out. PLUS THE NASHVILLE traffic is horrendous! SO I would suggest staying as close to your campground as possible. I-24 is close to grocery and restaurants.

X2 on Henry Horton State Park. It was redone about three years ago and is very nice. Spots are large and easy to get into. WIFI was redone last year and works great. We're a little over 30 minutes from the campground and it is our go to place.

Henry Horton State Park is the first thing that comes to mind. I've read that it's really nice so it's on our list.

About 30 miles South (the right way) of Franklin and you don't have to drive across Nashville. We live a little North of Nashville on I-65 and it takes us 45 minutes to get to Franklin on a weekend morning when there's hardly any traffic on the road. During the week it's a bad drive......

Thanks everyone and keep the comments coming. I will have to drive to and from Franklin during rush hour so that is something to consider.

Look at Henry Horton State Park, near Chapel Hill. It is southeast of Franklin, TN. Seven Points campground is East of Nashville on the Percy Priest Lake, it is an Army Corps. Cedar Creek is another Army Corps on Old Hickory Lake, just out of Mt. Juliet. Montgomery Bell is nice but not a really good access to I-40 and the I-840 to Franklin without having to drive a little. I have camped at all the ones mentioned above....

If you stay at one of the campgrounds on Music City Drive in Nashville, the drive to Franklin is not too bad. Your family can use the bus system to explore Nashville.

Seven points campground west of Nashville, very nice coe. Try rvparkreviews also I 24 campground in Smyrna tn it is about 25 miles away
