If I want to take my kids fishing there , what would be the bait of choice for the fish you listed... I am an old flounder guy.... who uses the same hook and bait time in and time again

yes we stayed in a dog site and very nice!! right on the bay. Would stay again!! Very clean and our site and as we noticed most sites in the dog area are large and private!!! Have fun!!

There at Christmas a few weeks ago. We loved it even though to cool to swim. Our type of park to kick back and just hang out. We have 36ft TT and no problems. We were on site 216 and had small beach behind our site. Could step out there to watch sunset.

Our first time camping in Fort De Soto was last year. Did use the beach many years ago when staying in a condo in the area. We are back this year for almost 2 weeks. The spaces are generous and for the most part private. Lots to do in the park or just take it easy. Only a few miles away you have wonderful kitchy touristy St. Petes Beach. The only thing that would make it better, for my own personal preference, is a heated pool. LOL!

We enjoyed our trip there although it was raining about 1/2 the time ( not their fault of course ). Nice CG. Cons are traffic and tolls to get to / from CG.

We had to leave one day early and they refunded the one night stay even though their website says no refunds that late. No, we did not demand the refund or even ask for it. Nice gesture!

We've stayed there several times and love it. Get one of the sites that backs up to the water. They're much nicer than the interior sites. The park website has photos of every site and all of the other information that you might need.

some sites there are way better than others for space. One section is for pets only. I have never stayed there but have been there visiting friends there. Many sites back right up to the bay.....beautiful area but pricey...can you say Florida, the beach and jack prices up.
