Gatlinburg area

Need a last minute campground for 31 ft TT. Have 2 kids ages 5 and 2 that are used to campgrounds. Would like nice playgrounds and possibly an indoor pool. Need it for April 4-8 so I realize it is last minute and am not picky on location. Prefer full hookups. Thanks in advance.
  • Could be a big plus for them if they put that on their website. Good to know.
  • Pine Mountain is owned by the same folks as the hotel across the street. They have an indoor pool and hot tub there. Been there and done that. Very nice.
  • River Plantation has alot at the park for kids to do. Easy access to the area. All of their water activities are outside and it will be to cold for that and they won't be open. Pine Mountain has/had an agreement with a motel across the street from them and you can use their indoor pool. Might check to see if they still have this. There will be no way you could run a tube down the creeks now, water temp way to cold.

Alot of stuff in Pigeon Forge for the kids, DollyWood open now too.
  • If your concern is keeping the kids busy there are a ton of things to do in the area but I can't think of any campground in the area that will give you what you are asking for. You will have to drive to the attractions and none have an indoor pool that I am aware of. For proximity to everything I would recommend Riveredge RV park. Look it up to see if it fits your needs.

Unless Pine Mountain added an indoor pool that would be new and is not listed on the web site. That is a nice park also and is off the main road and is quiet but close to things also.
  • Pine mountain in PF. Indoor pool and lazy river
  • An indoor pool at a campground in that area is going to be tough to find. We like Greenbrier Campground (used to be Greenbrier Island) outside of Gatlingburg. It is more of a rustic campground and less of an RV park than many in that area.

    Good luck!
  • We are in River Plantation RV Resort. This is a very large park and they many empty sites at this time. It is not in Glantinburg but in Sevierville just down the road away from all the traffic. The park has playground and pool but a little cold to swim now.
  • Check around the Townsend area. Kids can tube the river if it's not too cold and it's close enough to all the tourist traps.
We will be in Cove Creek RV park in Wears Valley about the same time. I like it because it is close to a park entrance and relatively quiet. But, I'm just there to fish in the park.
