GC recommendations in Homestead, Fl

We are finalizing our trip to the Keys and was looking for recommendations for a one night stay Dec. 30th in Homestead before heading into our site. I know many may be full but I am hoping to find something for just one night. Will need to stop at a Walmart to pick up those last minute supplies as usual I always forget something! I have looked on the Walmart site and found that there is one on Dixie Hwy that allows overnight parking, may have to go there.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    In 2011 we stayed at Goldcoaster in Homestead - mostly permeants but had good security and would be fine for one night - we used it as a base of operation to visit the east side of Everglades National Park

    We stayed here 3 years ago. Planned to stay for 3 days, stayed a week. Enjoyed it. Just north of Homestead.

    The Walmart at Florida City on US1 has posted signs of NO overnight Parking

    Magnusfide, We will be spending 3 months at Outdoor Resorts while hubby calls for the Long Key Squares Square dance club there. Will be doing workshops, lessons and club dances. Stop in if you are in the area.

    I was fortunate to stay at The Kentucky Horse Park CG where they held a square dance workshop preparing for a competition. It was a very different type of square dancing then I remember from school. But it was great to watch and listen to the music. They were having the time of their life dancing.

    I actually extended my stay at the CG to further enjoy them! :C

    We always stay at the Miccosukee casino. Link. Lot is patrolled and safe. Good buffet.
