We have had Wells Fargo account for almost 25 years. Have both a debit and credit card. We have a US address and everything works great. Another workaround for the gas pumps is to have one Canadian credit card with a US address. Maybe the CG where you will be staying will allow you to use that address. Sign up for on line statements and you are good to go. When you head back to Canada have the address changed to your Canadian address. Of course you will be hit with the 2 to 3% currency charge on every US purchase.
