- Tom_NExplorerThe "global warming" is in the areas of the world that are normally cold, such as the poles. Thus, melting ice raising the sea levels.
While the poles are warming the temperate zones are cooling. Thus the polar vortex we hear often mentioned.
Bottom line is major weather changes for our planet, mostly caused by man. - AprilWhineExplorer

Dutch & Ski6P you will like weatherbell.com as his long range forecasts have been real close to actual. Unfortunately he is calling for this winter to be muck the same as last... just colder... even down into south Fla.:(
Looks like CA will be the place to be.
Unless you're thirsty. The drought is weather related too.
EDIT You're correct, last winter was muck. :) - Dakota98ExplorerGlobal Warming ?:@
Global Cooling ?:@
If Global defined, equates to something spherical, then I'm confused.:?
I thought the earth was FLAT. :h
Is that why it's referred to as Climate Disruption now? They discovered I'm right afterall. Go figure:p - Water-BugExplorer IIUnfortunately accurate records haven't been kept for a long enough period of time to predict long term trends. Yes the glaciers are melting but that has been happening for millions of years.Nobody contests the fact that the Great Lakes were formed by melting glaciers.

Looks like CA will be the place to be. - 2oldmanExplorer IIScience vs internet talk. You have a choice. Don't confuse the weather with climate.
Now, go have fun with that statement. - Cloud_DancerExplorer IIIt's a personal choice between belief-based and science-based. Personally, I don't care which one you pick,......FREEDOM.
- Dutch_12078Explorer III have to chuckle when the weatherguessers talk about a "near record low" in relation to global whatever the current version is, as if this is something new and worrisome. Take a look at the date range of the top ten records for November for Houston, TX. With over a hundred year spread, I'm not sure how we can claim current human activity as the cause of these "disruptions". Then again, if we look back over millions of years we'll see similar patterns, only with much wider extremes. The earth has been in a warming cycle for many thousands of years now, and isn't even close to reaching previous peaks.
