Since our home is our car till we sell her we're on bicycles and public transportation so we need to be in the thick of it! Phoenix area, Chandler... that's really all I know though. I'm sure there's good and bad areas but I've only visted the Valley twice!
Chandler would not be my first choice:( Some what of a depressed area. Given your circumstances and the need to rely on public transportation, I would search around for an RV Park in the Mesa ,Tempe or the Scottsdale area. Although Scottsdale can tend to be a pricey area. Type any one of these areas in the Good Sam RV Parks web site and you will get quite a few choices.
