Goose Pt COE CG, Bassett,VA

Arrived here at Goose Pt for the holiday weekend. First time here. What a nice campground! Didn't make early reservations so am not down on the lower level by the lake. In fact am up in the upper campground and the sites are pristine. Garmp1, although just got here did try the Checkered Pig in Martinsville, VA (20 miles) away and their BBQ ribs are great. Stopped by around 3pm to take some back to campsite and had to wait in line to order take out and the dine in seating area (maybe 50+/- seats) was full. Bet the line snakes down the block when NASCAR hits Martinsville.
