Grand Teton backcountry camping in RV

I took my kids to Tetons/Yellowstone every year from the year the first one was born to they graduated from High School. (Backpacking every year, starting when they were in diapers) Before that and since then I have continued. While you are not asking me for my advice, but camping spots. I'll share some thoughts then. If it were me, I would get a spot at the Colter Bay Campground and tour from there. If you would like a cheat sheet of what to see in Tetons and Yellowstone, send me a PM as well as anyone else).

I would then get a campsite in Madison Campground, in Yellowstone, and basecamp from there. (The best way to see the park is split it in two, north & south. Base Camp in Canyon and Grant) Either rent a car in Jackson (or JH Airport) or West Yellowstone. Or Both.

Having the smaller vehicle will be a good way of getting around and stopping. There are going to be many locations that because of the amount of traffic, and tourists, you will find it difficult to stop at many locations in your Class C, only to start driving by them, out of frustration. So your rental plan is a wise one that your family will enjoy.
