Great RV Escapes

Has anyone stayed at, or know of any RV park that honors the 50% discount this company offers? I keep getting e-mails from them and I have called to ask questions, but only get recordings. I fully expect it to be a scam, but thought I would see if anyone has had any luck with them.

  • I just looked up their website.

    http://greatrvescapes.com/

They never really come out and say what they do. They do say that they want to make RVing more affordable and that they want RV park owners to join with them. Their "Free Campground Directory" clearly says that not all campgrounds that are in the directory are in the "Subscriber Directory". They do not even say "Subscribe here" anywhere, present any prices (there seem to be two levels of membership), or what you get as a subscriber.

This is either a very poor website or a group to be avoided. A legit group will tell you up front what campgrounds are included and with what, if any, restrictions (and there are usually a lot of restrictions). They seem to want for people to just trust them up front. Well, that is not really a very good idea unless you want to give them your money for maybe something or maybe nothing.
  • Passport America is the only one I know of offering 50% discounts for off daily stays for the CG's that partcipate.

Never heard of Great RV escapes.
