Gulf State Park Alabama
We are thinking of visiting Gulf State Park in March. Is this a real busy time with Spring break? Gave up on trying to talk to them on the phone (on hold) and online reservations was not working.

- March can have days with no sites available, especially weekends. Call the reservation line, leave your name and number. I have always found they will call you back within the day.
- Two years ago we found it booked solid until after the snowbirds left. Plenty of vacancies after that when we stayed for 2 weeks. But that was mid-April.
- Nice park - well worth the aggravation of getting in. Keep trying for a reservation or show up and put your name on the wait list for when sites become available. I think they assign sites around 1 pm and you must be present when they call your name.
- Just got a reply from an inquiry yesterday. Said they were booked the entire month of March. This is the month we get most of our snow in N Georgia and we were going to sneak out for a couple of weeks. :?
