Most state parks we have gone to have had curtins not doors on the stalls. And some are still gravel but not near as many as when we started using them back in the 60's They have been upgrading them and sure nicer. As far as cheap camping We think the 20-25 bucks a night is cheaper than any of the other private places as most are 35 to 55 per night. We can run on our tanks for 3 days even if we shower in our rig which we most always do. Hookups are not a big deal for us as long as we find a dump station on the way out. We are travelers and seldom stay more than 2 or 3 days.
I do like that they are redoing many sites and making them level as when they did pave years back it was just over the gravel and no were near level.
I enjoy not having WiFi then no need to fuss with all the e-mail ect. But then I turn my cell phone off when traveling, and stopped texting because I did not want to answer 150-200 a day. See what old age makes you do...
