thanks to all who responded... so nice to have a new bunch of friends!
I'm leaning toward the Vineyard Resort in Vacaville especially as it's so close to Travis. (We can't stay on base as we aren't military - son's in Navy)
Looking forward to the journey as it will be only our 2nd trip.
I will post about the trip and places we stay, so to give our "2 cents worth" to others who are interested.
