It's gonna take more than just removing the rock(s) to safely re-open the road, the road needs major repair, as well as ensuring the rest of the hillside is stable.

Since we spend the winter near Zion we get the local Email version of the paper. It said late Friday that it was fixed and was ready to reopen.
It did not explain what they meant by ready to use.
