Hyde Park NY area mansions?

Question

I see that there are 23! in the area. We enjoy old homes, history &amp; architecture, but my hubby's eyes will glaze over with this list!   Which would you choose &amp; why?  Please help us thoughtfully narrow our list.  He does enjoy taking photos, but it's not a requirement.  We are 2 seniors who can climb stairs.  Thanks!

I can think of 2 right off the bat - Vanderbuilt's and Springwood - FDR's place.

Since we don't really understand the town &amp; neighborhood divisions... When I put Hyde Park, I mean to include the Hudson River Valley area down to Yonkers.  Pretty much anything within an hour or so from Newburgh KOA.  Thanks!

Another suggestion is "Olana", a historic mansion next to the Rip Van Winkle bridge near Catskill. It's a little over an hour from your campground.
No shortage of great day trips in the beautiful Hudson Valley!
