I doubt if either is a quick and easy in and out like a private RV park. But both are fairly close to I-20, although at east and west end of the state.
ehhh...double post
X2 on Poverty Point. Been there several times. Close to I20 and very easy in and out. That's where I go when I need a quick overnight along I20. - LaTrikerExplorerLincoln Parish Park.
RV park is 3 miles north of I20 off of State Hwy 33. It will be the first Ruston exit if you are headed west. Third exit if headed east. All sites are paved with full hookups. $25 per night. Can handle any size RV. Most sites are back in but they do have 3 pull through sites. - WalabyExplorer IINot quite middle La, but Beaver Dam USFS Campground near Minden is really nice. We really enjoyed our stays there. It's a little bit off the path, but not bad at all. Really nice and long/large sites. Dump station, 50 Amp service. Every time I go through LA from now on Im gonna plan on staying there.

At West Monroe, LA there is the Pavilion RV Park. I agree with the rating on RV reviews: average or just a bit above. It's been a good while since we stayed there.
West of Monroe at Simmsboro is the Antique Village RV Park.
I would not hesitate to stop at either of these again as an overnight. There are not many choices along I-20 in the middle of the state.
