ideas for parks and sights in eastern CA. highway 395

After our trip south to Arizona this winter we will be heading back to Oregon via highway 395 in California on the east side of the Sierra's. We know little about the area and are thinking of crossin...

Just north of Reno off of Hwy 70 is the Western Pacific Railroad Museum
and if you really want to play with the trains, you can actually drive a road engine or switch engine there.

Manzanar National Historic Site - just south of Bishop

WW II Valor in the Pacific National Monument - Tule Lake Tule Lake

Bodie State Historic Park Gold Mining Ghost town just south of Bridgeport
