I can also add two of our favorite Florida State Parks - Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center in White Springs and Silver River State Park in Ocala. You could make a day trip there from Salt Springs.
A favorite Georgia State Park is Stephen C. Foster State Park in Fargo, Georgia in the middle of the Okefenokee Swamp. R. Schaefer Heard is a great COE park on West Point Lake in West Point, Georgia.
