Inland attractions in Alabama Georgia and Florida

My husband and I will be headed to Florida the first 2 weeks in June. Meeting my DS and DGD the second week for a Beach fun time but DH and I would like to explore some first week. We will be in our 24 ft Class C. Probably won't tow this time. We love camping in state parks with Rivers and streams and viewing wildlife or "boondocking" away from it all. Have 3 small "yorkies" traveling with us. ANy personal recommendations of "must sees" in this area?
