Inland attractions in Alabama Georgia and Florida

My husband and I will be headed to Florida the first 2 weeks in June. Meeting my DS and DGD the second week for a Beach fun time but DH and I would like to explore some first week. We will be in our 24 ft Class C. Probably won't tow this time. We love camping in state parks with Rivers and streams and viewing wildlife or "boondocking" away from it all. Have 3 small "yorkies" traveling with us. ANy personal recommendations of "must sees" in this area?

    Thanks for the good words folks. We just sorta squatted at one park for a while because the old rig was dying but fortunately this year we got a new old rig and had the presence of mind to not spend winter in northeast Georgia again.

    We had to turn comments off on the blog due to overwhelming spam and since then have often wondered if anyone's reading it.

    In Alabama Desoto State Park in Fort Payne is a really nice place with full hook ups and large sites. While there you can travel along the Little River Canyon which is spectacular. Desoto is not far off Interstate in northeast Alabama just south of Chattanooga TN. Gulf Shores has beautiful beaches with pure white sand. Huntsville Space and Rocket Center is a really neat experience if you enjoy space travel. There is a lot of history there. Enjoy

    Around West Point lake one will also find the Callaway Gardens resort complex, Roosevelt's Little White House, Warm Springs, The Callaway Mansion and Estate in LaGrange. Callaway is spectacular in the spring
