Maybe I didn't word something right. Once we get our dish set-up, we will be fine going to campgrounds that just have water and electric. But, we are almost at the end of this season, so for our few trips out before winter hits, we want to stay at a few places that have everything. We are new to this, so we need a little warming up session and getting used to everything before we let loose.

Thanks! From everything I'm finding. The state parks don't seem to usually have cable, and until I get our dish set-up set up, for these first few adventures we will be going to places with cable. (TV addict here.) however, next year we will be going to them for sure!

Unless I missed it---Kentucky Horsepark near Georgetown. Not too far of a drive from you.

Big South Fork

Oh, about 5 mi from me -- Cummins Ferry Campground, Just north of Harrodsburg, off US 127 a few miles. Campground is located on the Kentucky River. Owners have really done a nice job. They are set up for large rigs.

Yeah, it sounds like a good place to start. I think the other weekend we might go to the Lake Cumberland RV Park.

Its good or a KOA but some of the sites are tight. Their "path" to the lake is more like mountain climbing. Its not a bad place to just get away for the weekend like you were looking for though.

If you would like a quiet, park that is shaded, try Kendall campground at Lake Cumberland.

It is COE park and on the reservation site ,it has pictures of the sites. It is only 5 miles further south than the State Park.
