Stay at the Cajun Palms in Henderson, La. great park and close to many things to do. Swamp tours are fun.

In the Lafayette area, head over to Poche's Market for lunch in Breaux Bridge. You won't regret that.

Dons Meats on the eastbound service road of I-10 has some good stuff.

We have stayed a week twice around Lafayette. It depends how deep you want to dig around, but there is lots to see and do..

Tour Shadows on the Teche, Tabasco Factory, Konriko factory. The food is wonderful as are the butcher shops Eat at Prejeans.

We have done New Orleans several times when we were younger. Bourbon Street isn’t what it used to be. 2-3 days is enough.

We don’t go anymore but we’ll go back to Lafayette area again.
