Lake Camping in Kentucky

I am interested in camping around a lake for next years vacation. I would like lakefront full hookup, local area attractions are a plus ( water parks, shopping ). I am open to suggestions, and I would consider Tennessee as well. Boating, fishing, and some relaxation is the main thing.

Where in Kentucky do you live?

    Pikeville
  • LBL. Visit the Homeplace, the buffalo herd (largest herd in the east), the elk and buffalo range. Excellent campgrounds, many with lakeside sites. Did I mention the Nature Center. People are reporting very good birding around the dams and marina daily.
  • LBL is definitely one I have been considering, I am also looking at the Douglas Lake area in Tennessee. We are very familiar with the Severville area, but have no knowledge of lake camping at Douglas.
  • You might want to consider Seven Points COE CG in Nashville\Hermitage, Tennessee. No sewer but has dump. Some sites on Percy Priest Lake and close to Nashville. Of course, you can't go wrong in Land Between the Lakes either as it has several COE and US Forest Service CGs as well as commerical ones.

They don't call it 'Land Between the Lakes' in Kentucky for nothing!:B
