If not being on the water for Lake Mac is a consideration, I'd recommend the Lake Ogallala SRA campground which is directly below the Kingsley Dam which holds back Lake Mac. It is nicely shaded by mature trees and generally a quiet campground. You can get more info at THIS CLICKETY. This is our choice when visiting the Lake Mac area.
